Remote instruction will include both synchronous and asynchronous instruction:
  • Synchronous instruction --  two-way, real-time, live instruction between teachers and students, through the computer or other electronic devices or over the phone.
  • Asynchronous instruction – when students engage in the learning materials on their own time, interacting intermittently with the teacher via the computer or other electronic devices or over the phone. Includes pre-recorded videos.

The PLC Period may be replaced with professional development that is crucial to the success of the district, campus, and/or department
 
PLC Period: Teachers will plan hybrid lessons and activities for students that optimizes Tier 1 Instruction. Planning will include activities for students to complete on Friday afternoons.
Conference Period: Teachers will use this time to complete the duties of a classroom teacher including, but not limited to parent contacts, grading assignments, posting grades, preparing materials for instruction, running copies, etc…
Mandatory Tutoring/Student Support: Teachers will be available to provide support remotely with students that are failing to meet mastery on specific skills and/or objectives

Will utilize time to work individually with teachers on Sped student needs, Sped/504 documentation, Inclusion documentation, and Sped/504 meetings.

Travel To/from East: Travel to and from East should be done in a timely manner. Travel should not involve any side stops!
 
Mandatory Tutoring: The entire department of Teachers will be available to work with small groups of students that are failing to meet mastery on specific skills and/or objectives. Student participation will be determined by teacher invitation, but Students who remain on campus for the remainder of the day are also welcome to attend.
Planning PLC Time: Content/Grade Level Teams will work together to plan hybrid lessons and activities for their students. PLC time may be replaced with Professional Development.
