Katie Pool

The Victoria ISD Board of Trustees has approved the appointment of Katie Pool as the new Executive Director of the Victoria ISD Education Foundation.

Pool brings more than nine years of professional experience in education, child development, mental health and family support to the role. She earned a Master of Science in Management and Leadership from Western Governors University and a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and Family Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University.

Throughout her career, Pool has served as a Kinship Specialist with Belong SJRC, an Early Childhood Intervention Specialist with Region 3 Education Service Center, a Social and Behavior Support Specialist with Diboll ISD, a Mental Health Clinician with Burke, and Support Staff II with Burke Early Childhood Intervention. Her diverse background has provided extensive experience working alongside children, families, educators and community organizations.

As Executive Director, Pool will lead the Foundation's efforts to strengthen partnerships between Victoria ISD and the community while advancing the Foundation's mission of enhancing educational opportunities for students and teachers across the district. In her new role, she will work closely with the Foundation Board of Directors, district leadership, community partners and donors to grow support for innovative classroom initiatives, student programs and educator grants.

Pool will oversee the Foundation's strategic planning, fundraising efforts, financial stewardship, community engagement and day-to-day operations. She will also serve as the Foundation's chief spokesperson, helping build relationships with businesses, community organizations, donors and supporters who share a commitment to student success.

The Executive Director is responsible for leading the Foundation's fundraising strategies, coordinating Foundation programs and events, pursuing grants and charitable contributions, ensuring sound financial management and collaborating with district leadership to advance the Foundation's goals. Working alongside community partners, businesses and donors, the Executive Director also helps expand scholarship opportunities for Victoria ISD graduating seniors pursuing trade schools, colleges and universities while increasing community support for public education.

The Victoria ISD Education Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching educational opportunities by providing resources beyond the district's traditional operating budget. Through grants, partnerships, sponsorships and community support, the Foundation funds innovative classroom projects, supports educational initiatives and provides scholarships that help Victoria ISD graduating seniors pursue trade schools, colleges and universities.
